Match Report: 30th September 2007

Game :  Cresswell Wanderers F.C vs. Cheslyn Hay F.C

Result: Won 5-1

An excellent performance from Cresswell, 2 goals from Liam Pratt and one from Luke chancellor taking Cresswell to 3-0 up at the break. Some solid defence from man of the match Brandon Bird and Kyle Bate keeping Cheslyn Hay Out another goal from Luke then a consolation for Chelsyn hay Before Pete Murphy sealed the points for Cresswell.

Match Report: 14th October 2007

Game :  Cresswell Wanderers F.C vs. Silverdale F.C.

Result: lost  4-2

Cresswell Open the scoring with a goal from Ashley Rickard some excellent defensive work from Man of the match Brandon Bird and Kyle Bates gave a strong defensive. However some confusion in the box let Silverdale back in, and there were two one up before the half. A goal from Luke Chancellor gave Cresswell another chance and quickly followed by another goal for Silverdale. A last goal from Silverdale and many chances for Cresswell gave a quality game.

Match Report: 21st October 2007

Game :  Cresswell Wanderers F.C vs. Shire Oak Saints Sharks.

Result: Draw 2-2

Cresswell again open the scoring with a fantastic Shot from Zach Howells, then a sneaky goal though the goalkeeper’s legs gave Zach a second. Some confusion in the box let Shire oak in before the half. In the second half  Shire oak took it to 2-2 and some excellent defensive work from man of the match Liam Pratt. The result a true reflection of a good game.

Game :  Bush Juniors Eagles F.C vs. Cresswell Wanderers F.C

Result: Lost 3-2

Cresswell played well with goals form Ashley Rickard and Luke Chancellor, many chances for both teams however Bush Lucky to get the points, Man of the Match Kyle Bate

Game :  Cresswell Wanderers F.C vs. Bilston Casuals

Result: Draw 3-3

Cresswell again open the scoring with a fantastic Shot from Zach Howells, And a few disallowed for the strike with some offside decisions going against Zach, A fantastic strike from Lee Hodson and a Goal from Luke with 1 from Bilston looked like Cresswell taking all the points at 3 - 1, however a lucky deflection of a Cresswell Player took it to 3-2 and in the dying mins a very unlucky Penalty took the 3 points down to 1 very unlucky in a game Cresswell deserved to win. Man of the Match Luke Chancellor

Match Report 11th November 2007

Game :  Wednesbury Sports Union A F.C vs Cresswell Wanderers F.C

Result: Won 9 - 0

A fantastic game from Cresswell with Ryan Perry scoring 2 quick goals to start , then a Goal from Liam Pratt, another 2 from Ryan Taking Cresswell to 5-0 at half time. Man of the match Matty Reeves keeping all then strikes out including some acrobatic displays, and free kicks out the goals. More of the same in the second half with goals from Zach Howells, Kyle Bate, another from Liam and Ryan giving to goal tally to an impressive 9 – 0.

Game :  Cresswell Wanderers F.C vs Park Hill Boys F.C.

Result: Won 11 - 0

A Convincing win from Cresswell against Park Hill boys who fought well and held there heads high through out. Great Credit to them, Well done to the boys.

Game :  Cresswell Wanderers F.C vs Aston F.C

Result: Lost 0 - 9

A very strong team in Aston was too much for an un awoken Cresswell team,  Aston very strong from the off and Cresswell found it impossible to break them down .

Game :  Cheslyn Hay F.C vs Cresswell Wanderers F.C

Result: Draw 1-1

A wet day and terrible conditions meant the game could go either way,, Cresswell with many goal scoring opportunities but not taking on the conditions  so the ball falling short of the line on a few occasions and the lads not following through. A Goal from Luke was cancelled out by Cheslyn Hay for a 1 - 1 draw,

Match Report 16th December 2007

Game :  Cresswell Wanderers F.C vs Bush Junior Eagles F.C.

Result: Won 5 - 4

A fantastic game from two closely matched sides which was end to end from the start, Cresswell starting well with 2 goals from Ryan Perry and Luke Chancellor. Bush attacking hard to level the game to 2 - 2. Some good football taking Cresswell to 4-2 and looking comfortable, however Bush not giving up likely and scoring again taking it to 4-3. Then an unlucky deflection off Kyle in defence only just beating Matty to trickle into the back of the net. Then Harry Takher causing some issues in there box, then being brought down for a penalty giving Man of the match Ryan Perry his Hat -Trick and Cresswell the points.

 

Mike and Graham wish the lads Parents, Guardians and Supporters a very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year, and look forward to some more winning ways in the new year

Match Report 6th January 2008

Game :  Cresswell Wanderers F.C vs Wednesbury Sports Union A

Result: Won 13-0

Cresswell convincingly wining in a game  they dominated from the beginning, Ashley Rickard opened the scoring with a fantastic header a Goal from Ryan Perry taking Cresswell to 2-0 up which was excellent considering we only started with 10 men. The Goals were flying in with Luke chancellor and Liam Pratt also finding the net. Ashley Rickards head again hitting home another goal. Man of the match Ryan Perry bagging a total of 9 by running at the defence and of a penalty. Another clean sheet from Matty Reeves and good commitment from all the lads in what was this teams biggest win to date.

Match Report 13th January 2008

Game :  Park Hill Boys vs Cresswell Wanderers F.C

Result: Won 5 - 3

A wake up call for Cresswell in a game the lads thought they won before entering the pitch, a much improved and determined Park Hill went 2 - 0 up in the first half. Some frustrating decisions made the attackers very frustrated, however top goal scorer Ryan Perry after a discussion with the ref let his goals do the rest of the talking scoring 4, and joint man of the match Liam grabbing the other. Brandon bird with some excellent defending getting the other Man of the match, an excellent finish and a great game from Park Hill Boys.

Match Report 27th January 2008

Game : Cresswell Wanderers F.C  vs  Bilston Casuals

Result: Draw 2 - 2

A Really impressive first half from Cresswell with all the possession, really strong Defence keeping all the attacks from past the half way line. Cresswell attacking hard until eventually a Strike from Ryan Perry broke the scoring. Some controversial decisions from the Referee gave 2 penalties to Bilston, Star keeper Matty saved the first and got a hand to the second but could not keep it out. Another referee issue gave Bilston the lead in a game Cresswell deserved to win. A own goal from Bilston and many near misses gave both teams a point. An excellent effort and fantastic commitment from a strong Cresswell team. Man of the match Jake "Speedy" Smith, and a good game by all the lads, Well Done.

Match Report 2nd February

Game : Redhouse Rangers  vs  Cresswell Wanderers F.C

Result: Lost 7-2

A Game which Cresswell started well but some sloppy defending let Redhouse in, An excellent Goal by Cresswell, which was nicely headed in By Ashley Rickard gave use some hope. However there were a few minutes which Cresswell turned off again and at half time Cresswell were 5-1 down. A lot better the second half with some excellent effort from man of the match Liam Pratt, Top goal scorer Ryan Perry getting another goal for Cresswell, however it was too little to late. Jake Smith was awarded Player of the month for some excellent defending and commitment through out.

 

Match Report 17th February

Game : Wednesbury Sports  "B"  vs  Cresswell Wanderers F.C

Result: Draw 3 - 3

A Game which Cresswell started well with a goal from Liam Pratt in the first few mins, and another strike narrowly missed by Ryan Perry. A good recovery latter on gave Ryan a fantastic strike. Wednesbury gaining one back before half time. The second half started well with Cresswell having some good chances, however just having the bare 11 started to show towards the end with 16 on Wednesbury side having subs giving more stamina Scoring 2 goals and taking the lead, however Cresswell scoring from the spot in the dying mins giving Cresswell a deserved draw and Ryan his second. Man of the match Kyle Bates being strong throughout,

Match Report 2nd March

Game :  Cresswell Wanderers F.C vs Wednesbury Sports Union A

Result: Won 14 - 2

Cresswell showing some excellent football in a game of many goals, some fantastic passing and movement from the lads in a game that was a joy to watch, Ryan Perry started the scoring one of 9 he scored. We also had goals from Luke chancellor, Zach Howells, Liam Pratt and 2 from Ashley Rickard. An really good performance from Wednesbury whose heads were held high throughout and 2 excellent goals. Cresswell man of the match Brandon Bird  who was solid in defence and had some excellent runs with the ball to create some of the goals.

 

Match Report 16th March

Game :  Cresswell Wanderers F.C vs  Dulwich F.C

Result: Draw 2 - 2

Dulwich opened the scoring in what was another end to end game, some excellent  football with Dulwich having a few chances in the first half. A free kick gave an excellent strike from Ryan Perry to level the scoring. A better performance from Cresswell in the second half which saw them take the lead from the spot. After that many more chance for Cresswell but failing to find the goal. A bit of confusion at the back gave Dulwich another goal to level the score again. A few nail biting moments for both teams, but the draw a fair result.

Game :  Cresswell Wanderers F.C vs  Wednesbury Sports Union "B"

Result: Won 4-1

Cresswell opened the scoring from the spot thanks to Ryan Perry, a good half with Cresswell  having lots of chances. The second half Cresswell finishing well with Goals from Liam Pratt and two excellent goals from Ryan Perry and Zach Howells. A bit of confusion at the back  let Roonie score for Wednesbury a good goal, Man of the match joint with Jake Smith and Ryan Perry
